Nice....

like i said im only trying to get it thru my brothers head that its gonna be hard to do this project. and gonna take a lot of money

i have my own lil project, i got a 1977 Z28 camaro i am working on right now, all original and only 153K miles in it. pretty good for a 77, but needs a lot of detail work done.

The engine is still complete, its located in the rear of the car not the front.

I'd at least have an other shop look at it and see what they say. Could be a fun track car!

They aren't great on the track since the wheelbase is so short. They sping like tops when you give it too much power.

Frankly there are enough decent MR2's you can find at decent prices around that taking up this project would be idiotic.

This is true. My MR2 taught me the concept of "snap-oversteer" many times.

While good ones are relatively rare, it's still easy enough to find one that only needs minor work.

If it was a classic, I'd say make this one into a project and do a full restoration. But the MR2 has never been that desirable, and doesn't really warrant the time, effort, and money it would take to do a full resto from this bare-frame state.
