depends on how dirty it is and what's on it i guess. I just clayed the front of my xB today and it took almost two hours. It had these black spots on it that wouldn't come off and when i tried to scrape it with my finger nail, it smeared into a brown stain. So i had to clay the whole front bumper, hood, and headlights. took forever!!! I didn't even wax it yet. I'll wax the whole car tomorrow.

I JUST FINISHED!!!! OMG (2:15pm-6:30pm) wow took so long! I don't even think I did a complete job... washed clayed car and headlights got lazy and didn't do wheels waxed the best I could BY HAND. lol oh well she is shiny and clean now! and now I'm too tired to go to Chino!

Ha I know its too late cuz you did it already but this is what I do:

Wash
Clay
Wash
Pre-wax
Sealer and glaze
Caranuba wax Coat 1
Synthetic wax Coat 2
Wheel polish
Headlight polish
Back to black
Tire polish.

Takes me about 5-6 hours. All hand. Pressure washer speeds it up though.

i just dont see how claying could take over 4 hours... does that include the wash/dry prior to it and the wash after it???? what kind of clay did you use??? what did you use for lubricant???

rofl no everything all together took 4 hours shoot i feel like a pro now hahaha but yes i am a first time clayer and waxer i failed on wax tho its swirly in some areas grrrrrrrr
