Double Din installed in So Cal

I searched and found a couple threads in the So Cal forum about this and saw some places suggested...I'm thinking about getting a Pioneer AVIC-F900B installed. I saw someone had posted All Star Auto Sound, I presume people must have good experiences with them? I'd need to round up the G din kit myself I presume?

If your in studio city go to F1 motorsports. A guy named Phan did my Avic D1 with dd kit. They were pricey but did good work and very nice guys. If you want cheap and good work. I heard Autobacs down in Stanton can do it for like $100. If you want to save money buy the stuff yourself and just pay labor to get everything installed. I saved liked $200 by buying everything myself.

I never realized they did audio work. I got my Time Attacks from Chris as well as them handling my bodywork when some lady plowed into me. I obviously don't pay enough attention haha...

I would suggest against the new F series. I had the D3 running in my previous car and I upgraded to the F90. It was littered with issues and Pioneer ended up recalling them for a period of time. I dont know if they re-released them or not yet but I didnt wait to see. There were start up, bluetooth, navigating, screen and other issues. Check out www.avic411.com/forums

Hrm, when did you make the swap? My wife had a D3 in her car before we traded it last year, that thing was pretty damn nice. My only qualm was that I couldn't type addresses in while I was going over 1mph or something (I'm guessing this could be easily hacked away). What'd you end up getting instead?

The F series came out about 2 or 3 months ago. The safety "lock" can easily be bypassed.

I ended up returning the F series and getting a G35 sedan lol. The D3 was in my GTI
