Goodbye tint, Hello front license plate!

So I guess my luck ran out this morning as I was cited by the CHP for having my front windows tinted (even though my tint is pretty light) and no front plate, as I was pulling out of my neighborhood. I have one concern, I'm running an Invidia exhaust and kind of worried about them saying something about modified exhaust when I go in for the inspection. Is it something I should be worried about? The funny thing is my girlfriend's brother just got pulled over last night for tint as well, but they let him go with a warning.

they wont say anything about the exhaust. they will just view your car from a distance, or sometimes they just ask if you took off the tint and just sign away.

Tint and no front plate....!

This is the game we play here in Ca., it's how long can you go before being
cited. You might want to get one of those brackets that Stillen sells so you
don't have to drill holes in your bumper. They won't say anything about your
exhaust, you park your car have the officer check out what you received the
ticket for....it gets written off and you're gone. Just don't rev it up when
you leave....LOL How does someone get a warning for tint, that's NEVER
happened to me....but I still consider myself lucky!

I'll probably just get the Stillen license plate mount (really don't want to drill holes in my bumper). Although I dislike having the front license plate mounted, I will most likely leave it on so I don't give them a stupid reason to pull me over.

FROG....you can't get away with double sided tape, the sheriff laughed at
me and told me to go home and install the plate correctly....they're not
stupid. And trust me it's embarrassing to get caught.... Stillen mount
is the way to go unless you already have holes in your bumper!

First thing the sheriff said when he signed off my front plate ticket was: "Dude, clean car. Those tints give it a much cleaner look".

Never had any issues with my 20% fronts in 2 years

Probably a BS excuse cops use in order to pull over people who look like gang members.
