I had a very hard time over the phone as well. Veronica seemed nice and all, they just seemed seriously swamped at all times. I called Tuesday and never got a return. I called Thursday; Veronica seemed to remember me and said she had a note on her board, but hadn't found any yet. Took my number again to call me again. I called on friday and she had something that might work. She was very quick. I just asked if they had different stock at the other site.
I called and asked for Raul. He was a nice guy. He told me that had some PS2s that would work well. I told him I would be buy the next day (today) about 1:30pm. I mentioned getting an alignment and thought it smart to throw out James' name. His response was: James is the man! I also said something about having trouble calling on a Saturday before, and asked if they don't answer the phones on the weekend. He gave me his cell phone in case I had a problem.
I showed up today and Raul seemed out. Jose got him on the phone and got it squared away. He was rolling out my tires. They seemed cool enough, about 85% remaining tread and a great price. Got them mounted and all set. Raul came in while getting squared away. I did feel better when he showed up. He's a really nice guy. He did question which size I should get for the backs. I had 245/40/19s. Over the phone, he said he had 255/40/19s (this seemed cool as it was what Grant, GDupsedan, recommended to me for good fitment). Once there, he thought 265/35/19s would work better. I was hesitant and wasn't sure what to do. He offered to test both to see. I was worried the 265s would be just too wide for the rims. They are very aggressive, and seeing as Grant was sure that was the size to get, I was skeptical t going against his recommendation.
I got it set, got my much needed alignment, after dropping to Z springs in the front G in the back.
I am now very happy with the setup.
For the price, I would still say it was very much worth it going through Global Tires. I would definitely go see them again.
