Thumbs down Temecula/Murrieta warning

What ever you do if you live in this area. Don't go to ACR automotive . After I got my hair cut in Murrieta, I found a small flyer on the windshield. As I read it (and this should've been a re flag), it said they are Nissan/"INFINITY" specialists. I ended up taking the G coupe in for my tranny replacement along with some other things to take care of. They replaced the window roller motors since the windows were having problems again, they worked on the alignment (I'll get to this part soon) and the cruise control, oh! and I had them install my GT Spec underbody braces. The tranny replacement went well until my nephew drove the car for a couple of days. He told me that he took the car back because the gears started to grind a bit again (now I can't completey blame them given the way he drives). They went ahead and drained and refilled the tranny fuid, adjusted the engagement point for the clutch and decreased the clutch pressure. This was adjusted from what the dealership shops had on our 6MT. Windows work great. They told us that they would have to a order an electrical panel for the cruise control actually located on the steering wheel assembly (still not fixed because that part cost $600.00). Now the airbag lights keeps coming on and shows up on the nav screen every time the car starts. I figured since they were behind the dash a few times trying to locate the cc problem, some how they messed up the climate control. If you put it on auto, the floor vents are the only ones working with low fan strength now matter how hot it is. If you put it on manual, you can control everything right? Well not if you turn the temp up past 60 degrees. If you set it to 61 degrees, the front vents start blowing (MAX) HOT air! Last but not least. Whne we picked the car up and paid about 4 grand. We were driving home. We started going up Murrieta Hot Springs pretty hard. While going up the uphill portion just after crossing Winchester Rd., we hit a little bump in the road. The car started getting this bad speed wobble coming from the rear end. Now I figure something got messed up when they were installing the under body braces. Turned out that the rear axle on the right side was loose! They tightened it up when my nephew took it back. Now it is doing it again, we found out when my wife and I went out for our anniversary lastnight. Long story short. Don't go to ACR in Murrieta. I guess I should've sent the car to Street Image or Group 5 or somewhere where the guys have a proven track record that they know what they are doing. Good thing I can't even drive. I'd be even more pissed than I am.

Sorry this was so long.

Later,

Ray

if they turn the ignition on with a air bag sensor disconnected (ie steering wheel), your airbag light will flash. they should know how to reset it. that's an easy fix.

same with the heat controls. it's a sensor located in the panel underneath the steering wheel, towards the right knee area. once you plug that in, it should work.

as for everything else...i dunno what to tell you.

tell the shop i'll send them a bill when they fix it.

Cool drsifu1. I will check that out. At this point, I would rather send it to a real tech. My niehbor at my big house in Winchester has a son that is a tech at Quality Nissan here in Temecula. I think I'll see if he can check those things out. As I said, I'm discouraging anyone else from going there. Cost my nephew and I about $2,100.00 each for all the work. I made him pay half aince he learned how o drive stick with my car. That loose axle is really scary. I was nervous with my wife driving. I could feel the wobble from the passenger seat.

Ray

I will as soon as I can get my nephew to take it up. Unfortunately he has his EVO to play with now, so his time is less available . We'll see.

Thanks,

Ray

Yeah, I forgot his name since he's over visiting his dad less than he used to. Plus I am staying at our house on Wolf Valley Rd. down from the casino primarily. If I get his name, I'll let you know.
