Josh the one in Riverside off Tyler and Magnolia is also shutting down. The one off Limonite on the 15 is also shutting down. I was there on Black Friday and the deals sucked. Most of the items are open box or are all gone and sales people are less than helpful when you ask them for anything. Goodluck anyway in finding anything in there.

^What happens when something messes up and you have the warranty plan from them? I know they are scheduled to go out of business due to filing bankruptcy. I hope Best Buy is all set though.

Funny you brought this up... I bought my laptop from them last year... I spent $1200 on it... well it took a crap on me 2 months ago, i called the extended warranty phone number and they overnighted me a box to put my laptop in. i sent it out to them for them to realize that it is dead. So they originally said that i will be given back my $1200... i am like really, ok... So i start searching for the PC that i wanted... After waiting 3 weeks, the send me a gift card for $699... I am like huh? so i call and raise hell to find out that the store and the first "tech" was mistaken and they didnt understand why they would tell me this amount... So i demanded for a check payment instead of a gift card because i wanted to take my business somewhere else... So they said thats not a problem. So since that was done, the following day Circuit City files for Bankrupcy, and i am thinking, no wonder they would pay me the orginal amount. Now i was wondering if the check was going to come at all... well after another 3 weeks the check showed up. I go to cash it, and there is a hold for the check til Dec 2... the check has been sitting in my account for a little over a week...

Would i recommend buying anything from Circuit City, NO!

FYI

One of the CC near me is closing. Check the prices!! They are not honoring sale prices in theri flyers. Some of the sale proces are better than the MSRP 40% off. Also everything isnt 40% of. Its up to 40% off. Good stuff like MP3 players, gaming units are like 5-10% off. Which is crappy when it cant be returned.
I bought a bunch of batteries for my kids stuff at 15% off.

A lot of them are closing down, just do a google search for the stores.
Best Buy may not be next, but is definitely on the list for Chapter 13.

155 circuitcity stores are closing down. They still have 500 stores open. They filed for chapter 11. Even if they don't do well this holiday season, they will be here for a couple of years.

If you buy an extended warranty from them, you are still covered even if they go bankrupt, because all their warranties are honored by a 3rd party called assurant.

They made a mistake. You never get your full amount when they cannot fix your computer. Just like when you total your car, insurance will never give you the full amount for the car.

Imagine if you did not buy the warranty, then your computer would be out of warranty, and you will be stuck with a $1200 paperweight. At least you got $700 back after a year or so of usage. Computers become obsolete in 8 months now.

Liquidators bought the merch, marked everything up then put a 30%+ off sign... so the prices aren’t any better than Frys or Best Buy. I went to the one in Compton (closest around) and was f-ing pissed that I wasted my time… I felt like telling them what a-holes they are for trying to consider those going out of biz prices. Phucking joke!

I’m sure some poor fools that don’t know any better will think they got a great deal.
