Tax Preparer Recommendation! (^_^)

Just wanted to recommend a tax preparer for any Socal peoples! I've been going to Loretta Casey for over 8 years and she's great! Really easy to work with, she's in Redondo Beach, and very knowledgeable.

I just saw her yesterday and was in and out of there in 30 minutes. I'm sure it's probably be 45 minutes or so, for new people.

I'm getting a pretty good amout back since we have a condo, were getting around $15K back, but of course, that's going towards bills, savings, and no mods to my G....

I've recommended her to over 20+ people and they all think she's great and are still with her after all these years.

Her info:

Loretta A. Casey, EA
1623 Aviation Blvd., Suite A
Redondo Beach, CA 90278
310-376-2204 work
310-376-2224 fax

Lcaseyea@aol.com

Tell her John Butiu sent you.... and no, I'm not getting any commision or anything, I just think she does a great job.

Thanks,

-John / speedraver

$15k?

John, either your allowances are not set properly or you got some other stuff going on. That $15k is like an interest free loan you are giving to the gov't. Change your allowances so that more of the money you make, you keep.

by the way, i know tax preparers charge differently based on a case by case basis, but any idea what she charges to prepare a 1040 with itemized deductions?

I'm not sure about that, but feel free to give her a call. As for the $15K, I think it's because of the huge mortgage and property tax we paid last year, but I'll be sure to ask her about it.

Thanks!

your tax withholdings are really out of whack if you're getting 15k back John . Is she a CPA or a certified tax preparer?

She is a certified tax preparer and I just spoke with her and she told me she can set it up so that I break even, get 2K, or whatever I want, at the end of the year.

I just forgot that a while ago I wanted it set up so I get lots back at the end of the year, but I think I'll change it so I keep more of my money, so I can invest it or put it in savings to make some interest.

^^ With the exception of state tax since our state is too damn broke to be able to afford tax refunds until further notice.
