This was a very successful meet! What a great day it was...not one minute wasted. It was good to see some old and new faces. I hope we can all get together soon. As for the cruise - what was street/hwy called where the trees were overhead??? I definitely will be going back there in the near future. Below is the link to the pictures that I took today. Enjoy!

Re: June 19 Huntington Beach/Images/Thoughts!

I had a great time meeting all you folks.

Steph, that road was called Santiago Canyon I think. The easiest way to get there is from the 5, exit El Toro Road and go to Cooks corner.

What about a cruise through Ojai. I heard the roads through there are even better.

I agree with Macky about the people on this board! Ya'll are way cool!

Sorry I wasn't able to stay for lunch and cruise, but I must say that was one excellent meet. That was actually better than the Duarte meet. The beach was great all the cars passing by PCH was honking their horns what a beautiful sight. Then on the beach side all those women in a 2 piece setting up their volleyball nets. Roman was all over them telling them he has some wet t-shirts for them..LOL! that was funny. Roman thanks for all the freebies and Aquinas for the donuts. We should all do this again at the beach maybe a Santa Barbara bbq then cruise through Solvang and down to Lake Cachuma. Even people in other G's that had no idea we were having a meet joined us. Mike and Steve in the black G with a badass set of rims nice meeting you guys hope you guys join the forum soon. So when is the next meet? Beach anyone? Forget Vegas!

That was the funnest meet I've ever been to.Too bad the sun never came out.How did you guys/gals like Forest st.(That steep as$ hill) & top of the world? I'll be going to cooks corner more often, that is one SWEET joy ride. Now that we have a cruise route(top of the world&cooks corner),we could have the meet some other time and not have problems with losing anybody.I was puttin' the whole drive(except for cooks canyon)how'd you guys loose a 30 car G caravan? Now we know who needs some more upgrades so they can keep up.should we start a donation for the slow pokes?J/K
Anyways,I had a great time.I'm down to do it again any/every weekend 'cause I do that route by myself every weekend anyways.let me know when,& I'm there.

Man, it was freezing that day. Who would have thought wearing a t shirt and board shorts to a beach would be a bad idea. That was my first meet and it was pretty fun. Thanks for the t shirt and beanie roman.

Re: June 19 Huntington Beach/Images/Thoughts!

I guess for those of you who liked the Cook's Corner ride in El Toro, we could all meet at Fuddruckers Hamburgers on El Toro Road next time. According to my friend who rides his bike there all the time, we could reserve a section in the restaurant and the parking lot for our meet if we give them advance notice. I was a little hesitant at first to take the group to Cook's Corner worrying aboout a 10-car G35 pile-up in the canyon, but I'm glad we all went. We just need to be a little careful when we go as a large group. Doubling the speed limit at the Cook's Corner run should be okay. Hehehe...

Re: June 19 Huntington Beach/Images/Thoughts!

I would like to know how to get there if I'm coming from Upland (off of the 210 and 57 fwys). I would love to go back there very soon. I cruise Mt. Baldy and LA Crest so much, that its time to find new routes to cruise ;-)

My first So. Cal meet....tons of fun. I enjoyed meeting everyone and matching a face to the screen name. We have to do that canyon again...I'll bring a co-pilot next to take some video...never had so much fun in my G.
Roman,
Thanks for the great freebies. I needed that shirt...I was freezing.
Dan,
Thanks for the Krispy Kreams....we should all play some V-ball at the next beach meet.
Stephanie,
I do believe u owe me a race. {:-) ....we'll see who flashes who {;-)

Hope to see all of u at the next meet. Hopefully I'll have some new mods by then.

BTW, when the photographer in the black MB sends me the pics I'll be sure to post them.

Re: June 19 Huntington Beach/Images/Thoughts!

Steph,

It's really easy to get there. Just take the 57 South to the 5 South. Once you get to the 5 South, maybe another 8-10 miles you'll exit on El Toro and head East (turn Left) and you'll pass Fuddruckers on your Left. Stay on El Toro for approx 3 miles and you'll come up to Cook's Corner (local Biker hangout) and turn Right at the fork. Here is where the 8 mile loop begins. Have fun and don't crash your car and get injured.

Re: June 19 Huntington Beach/Images/Thoughts!

To Cooks Corner from Upland.
10 west, to 57 south to 5 south. Exit El Toro Road. Turn left up towards the hills. Go straight up El Toro and Cooks is in front of you to your right. Turn right and you'll be on Live Oak (thats the name of the tree covered street.

Coming from the same 5 fwy, you coudl exit Jamboree and go up towards the hills (east). Turn right on Santiago Canyon. That road is fun as well with slightly more sweeping turns. Keep going on Santiago Canyon till you get to Cooks Corner, turn left and youre on Live Oak again! This is the much better route cuz you have more miles of twisties.

Roman, thanks for the t-shirt and freebies.
