Law states 70% on front windows

I have been driving around SoCal OC with 20% for a year and a half now with no issues

And on top of the 88%,

The driver has in his or her possession, or within the
vehicle, a certificate signed by the installing company certifying
that the windows with the material installed meet the requirements of
this subdivision and identifies the installing company and the
material's manufacturer by full name and street address, or, if the
material was installed by the vehicle owner, a certificate signed by
the material's manufacturer certifying that the windows with the
material installed according to manufacturer's instructions meets the
requirements of this subdivision and identifies the material's
manufacturer by full name and street address.

Here's a before and after with 70%. I can't see a difference.

Before:

After:

I took some pics by my phone. The quality is not so good, and it's kinda hard to show the pics clearly because of reflection. Hope these pics will work.

Thanks for your helpful link. 70% is it for the tint or 70% for light comes in, meaning that the tint can be 30% dark, is that correct?

I'm gonna guess by the 88 in your name you're probably Chinese.....and i just wanna tell you. quit being chinese about everything man It is not legal, dont matter if your grandma's cousin's neighbor's newphew's uncle who is a cop installed it. Your reading comprehension is really lacking man.

70% means 70% of the light must pass through the window or else it's illegal......if you have 30% tint, that means only 30% of the light passes through meaning that is illegal.

I don't see how we can get anymore clearer than that. We've already got 2 cops respond to your question. LOL......

ps...i have 15% tint all around.......don't taze me bro!

if you get a ticket for your windows being tinted its only a fix it ticket so you take the car to the dealer and have them remove the tint and pay for the ticket since they did it
