Sides are tedious just like the main can be. Sleeving each harness back as far as you can is a drawn out process. lol

I've seen the headlight harnesses reach without being extended, but you could visibly see the harness from the engine bay sitting against the wheel liner.

DO NOT disconnect yellow plugs without disconnecting the battery. These are related to the airbags.

hmmm i see..

yeah.. i doubt i will be forgetting to unplug the battery.. man this thing was a major scare..

otherwise i feel rather confident about doing this.. i dont think i will have to extend the harnesses..

im gonna try to make everything reach with what is given.. i was told by another sponsor that i had to extend the whole harness on the sides about 8inches. all tho this may make it easier.. i dont think its worth the risk.. therefore i will make it with that is given..

now as far as sleeving.. yes its a dam PITA.. but like i see my fellow Gs that have already done it.. its well worth it..

there is a hose that worries me on the passenger side.. it comes out of the upper plenum and it connects near the passenger harness.. i was told it cold be a Vacuum for the Brake Booster..

i saw that SpeedRaver had that shaved also..

To sleeve the harnesses you have to de-pin the connectors, to sleeve all the harnesses you have to de-pin all the connectors. hahah, if others did this as well I would love to see it.

The "thing" on the plenum that has 2 vacuum hoses on it is a purge valve for the emissions system.

May the force be with you. hahah, sponsor title just means someone is paying to sell stuff here. Doesn't mean they know anything more than the next guy. This includes me.

either way what you have told me is good to know and it kinda gives me an idea of what lies ahead for me.. i was gonna do a DIY but.... idk if it works.. i might become a sponsor and start making it a job.. extra $$$ would be nice for some stuff i want..

dont know how much others may trust me tho.. ill make sure i have a few harnesses laying around incase i mess up theirs..

this is what i aim for..

You know how much the engine harnesses cost? I looked it up before I think the side harness of maybe it was the main harness was like 700.00.

Never seen that engine bay before in my life. Looks nice, I guess. hahahhahaa

hahaha....thats your crew member.. wonder who that could be right? lol

yeah.. ill look into junk yards.. not trying to buy them brandspanking new.. dont have that much money laying around..

i have to noticed that there are a lot more G35's in the junk yards.. way way way more than what there used to be.. the new 240SX.. lol...

so if he harness is 700 or so.. what would be a decent price to charge?? 3oo? lol

Yeah sides are def. a PITA, imo it was way more a headache than the middle harness. I gotta re-do my passenger side, my taillight fuse keeps blowing so i think it's from hitting some gnarly dipps recently and me being so dumpt and something got stripped cause thats the only thing i can think that would cause it...btw i didn't extend any wires but i prob should it was a STRETCH getting a few to reach!!!

I know, was just playin around. I know Johns engine bay very well.

There will be a few variations on the main harness. 5AT/6MT, rev up/non revup I'm not sure if the o2 connectors are the same, I imagine they would be but 04.5+ are wideband o2 vs narrowband o2 in the earlier years.

For the pass. side there are 2 openings that you can use one on the side and one under the battery holder.

I just finished sleeving / depinning my entire engine bay. I extended or shortened 90% of the wires in the bay. I need to give thanks to Viet, Kurtis, Zack, Marty, Dave, John for picking there brain on how to do this correctly. The part that sucks is the sleeving if you were to just do the tuck that would be cake.

So thanks again guys
