Dammmmn.... just happened, heard it was near the 405 & 105 Lennox area.... yikes! That scared me prettty good, as well as our dog! At 8:39 pm for about 10-15 seconds.

This woulda been my first cali quake if I hadn't have been driving on the 91 at the time
Here's my mild, moderate, major scale:
mild: you feel it but nothing falls
moderate: stuff falls off walls
major: death and destruction.

This one was moderate in my books. In seattle where I'm from, it just takes a 4 pointer to crack concrete and condemn buildings. The last quake up there shut down a night club!
Glad none of my snake cages fell over!

man... screw these shifting plates.. lol

sucks how the epicenter of the thing was actually where the two plates rub up against each other.. hope i don thave to live throught another 94 earthquake..

that would just be wrong in todays economy.. but it would yield business to construction and engineers and developers..

so i guess every bad has a good some where right?
