yup in hawthorne... i always thought that earthquakes happen in the valley somewhere. i guess not.

Might be a good idea to take the time and secure tv's and other valuables.

My husband threw a fit when I made him put those straps on my china hutch, curio cabinet and a couple other pieces of furniture. He was glad he did though when we had a big earthquake a couple years ago. You can get museum putty at Home Depot and put it behind pictures and on the bottom of small breakables on shelves.

Also be sure to have your water and other emergency supplies ready.

Better safe than sorry.
