Just got some work done at Elite Auto Performance

Hinsu and those guys do some great work.
I had em change my oil with Eneos synthetic and I swear I gained around 15hp.
Also had em change out my window motor and change my brakes.
The Hawk Performance brakes def have less stopping power than the OEM's. But the OEM's sucked ***** so anything is better.
I think it would be beneficial to get stainless steel brake lines installed to help out with the braking power.
Overall I like the Hawks just because I've adapted to them over the weekend and am comfortable with them now.
May go for the Project Mu's sometime just to compare for myself. I just hate the OEM brake pads because of all the damn squeaking.
I recommend anyone to check out Elite Auto Performance
And everyone should be running synthetic oils, it gives you so much power just by changing the oil.

I'm a bit confused...you state that the Hawks have less stopping power than OEM's but they are better? I know some people complain about the initial bite of the Hawks being weak, is that what you are referring to?

The Project Mu B-Force pads do tend to squeek quite a bit. Make sure you bed them in properly and use plenty of shim grease. They will give you the stopping power you desire.

I think you should deffinately do the brake lines. I did mine and I love how firm the pressure on the pedal is and how much better I stop it saved my *** yesterday cuz I almost ate the rear end of a honda

Guess I should have said 'initial' or cold stopping power. A few seconds of friction to warm up and they bite pretty good. I was so sick of the squeaking of (ALL 4!) OEM brake pads that anything else would make me happy.

Do you track your car at all? Ever do a High Performance Driving Event (HPDE)? If so then change your brake fluid while you are changing your lines. Good luck and glad to see you are happy with your mods thus far.

Not yet, but I want to. I thought you had to change brake fluid when changing lines?
Gonna leak out anyways right?

you don't need to completely change it, just bleed it. I really meant to say upgrade your fluid when you change the lines. Get some ATE or Motul fluid.

Cool will do. Thanks.
I totalled my last car because of brake issues. With this car, upgrading the brakes is very high priority. Getting new rubber next.

I saw your silver coupe parked there. The skinny guy was doing your brakes behind that black convertible Z that was on the lift. You have dealer plates right? I stood there and watched him do your break job.

I was there this weekend as well. I bought and got a Z tube installed from them for only 30 bucks.

I recomend these guys!!

I had the B-Force pads on my car for about a year. They are excellent for track use, just a little noisy below 30mph.

Your paper registration is good for 3 months. If you don't get it by the end of week 8, call the DMV. The dealer cannot help you at this point.

As far as pads go, it's difficult to find a good balance. PMU pads are $$$ but a lot of people like em.
