Embee Performance Powder Coatings in Santa Ana - Are they good?

I wanted to get my akebono calipers painted. So far it seems the popular choice is Mike the powdercoater in florida. He charges $350 + $30SH. I called Embee today and asked how much for the same powdercoating (candy red) and they said $240. Good thing is, they're local. Anyone have any experience with them?

to be honest with you.......if the powdercoater doesn't specialize in doing brakes.......i really wouldnt want them to touch em. It invovles a baking curing process.....and brakes are kinda an important part of the car ya know. I'm a big fan of just professionally painting them. You really cant tell the difference.

Good luck on your search.

I havn't done brakes, but I used to get all kinds of stuff powercoated by them when I was a Purchasing Manager.

I do know they do a great job with rims.
