What do you guy think about meeting somewhere between Oceanside and San Clemente at the beach? I think it would be great to get some pics of a bunch of SoCAL G's on a sunny beach to post on these forums. I know there's been attempts in the past to get the San Diego G's together but it always seems that we're all too busy. Diving up the 5 is nice as long as it's on the weekend and there's not too much traffic.

 

Sounds like something doable. I live in Temecula, so I could just hop over the Ortega. If we could get something going, I'd be all for it.

I'd be interested. San Clemente/Dana Point would be as far as I want to go on I-5. Closer to Oceanside (or even south of!) would be even better, for me, anyway. I still have visions of trying to get home one night after leaving Disneyland... construction, only one lane open, cars crawling at <5mph. I think it was 2AM before we were out of it. I try to avoid LA. When I have to go to Lancaster, I take the 15 up and around, then go through the Cajon Pass and take Deathtrap Highway (138) to avoid LA.
