Hi Everyone!!!

What's up folks.

I need your help guys...
I'm looking to buy a new kick *** g35 6mt coupe for myself... only problem is dealer's aren't willing to work with me.

I'm also looking to buy a QX56 for my girl and yet these dealers are trying to keep me close to MSRP for both vehicles.

So... I was wondering if anyone knows anyone that could sell me two Infiniti's at a fair price.

I went to Mission Viejo and Tustin Infiniti and I called Cerritos, Monclair and Costa Mesa dealers and these all these dealers are greedy as hell.

Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Riverside

I got my car at Costa Mesa and every other dealer just like them will not take off much from the car, they had 3 different people looking at mine as I was filling out the paper work.

Re: Hi Everyone!!!

Dizz...

Where about's do you live? I live in Orange county and purchased my G at Tustin Infiniti, but I printed out a price breakdown from carsdirect.com and told them this is what I would pay with a check made out to them. That seems to work as far as getting a better deal. Good luck!

Re: Hi Everyone!!!

Give Riverside Infiniti a call. Ask for Joe in the service dept. let him know that Ted, with the silver sedan he is working on, told you to call and that you are with G35driver. ask him to hook you up with a "good" salesperson.

This gives our site identity for helping them sell cars, as well as letting him know people are watching the dealership.

Lastly, you might shop via the internet. Create a disposable hotmail account and shop the locals. For dealers that you have already been too, send requests from two diff accounts for each vehicle. For new dealerships, as them to quote you the two cars.

make sure that you tell them you are only dealing via email. They will try and get you to call so they can "work something out" or find out what you need! Duh.. you filled out the request on their website, what more do they need to know.

Cheers, Ted

P.S. Coupes still command a premium, and dealer allotment of the QX56 is based on their overall sales of cars. You may have to wait to get what you think is a great deal. But if you are ready to buy two cars, right now (or at the end of the month!) they may be willing to deal just a little.

Re: Hi Everyone!!!

hey Gdude, I'm in Irvine.
I was offering all the dealerships that I visted, 5% above their cost, not dealer invoices.
Tustin insulted me by knocking off 200 off of msrp for the coupe. However, the lowest i got for the qx is 51, otd.

Just curious to know, what did you guys pay otd for your hot rides?

Re: Hi Everyone!!!

Hey SocalTed.

I will give Riverside a ring today.
Thanks for the lead, hopefully riverside won't be greedy as mission viejo. the gm there is a total *****. I also wasn't aware that mission has bill walton as their spokesperson.(another *****)
I will definitely let riverside know about g35 drivers.
I appreciate all the help that you guys have given me so far.
I'm itching to get into my white 6mt coupe, but hopefully my patience will prevail.

so moving along...
I think the coupe is one of the sexiest rides around, next to my r1 that is. are there any common problems with the g series or qx56 yet?

thanks again for your help fellas.

Re: Hi Everyone!!!

Hey Dizz... i wouldn't call it greediness, it's simply supply and demand.

Ford did it with the recent Thunderbird

GM is doing it with the GTO

VW did it when they brougt back the Beetle

Honda STILL does it with the Odyssey van.

A dealership does not need to be your "friend" as most people never stick around after they buy a car. If they have 3 cars and six buyers, they know that they are going to sell it. But for how much ....especially when they have some dog M45's sitting there for a year that they are now paying interest on.

Some dealerships def have some jerks working for them. But you are also going to a floor salesmen who's job it is to wear you down, as it is yours to wear them down. Every car buying technique will tell you that there is a point where they will not sell a car. You need to go through the Fleet/Internet sales dept to get what you want. Otherwise you will spend HOURS and HOURS in a dealership playing the game. tell me, when you went into the dealership, did you sit down and let him whip out the foursquare and start talking payments or price? If so, then you communicated to him that you are not serious, or that he has some selling still to do. Got to your bank and get preapproved (unless you have the $$). Bring a calculator so you know what your payments will be, or figure that about ahead of time. tell them you are ready to buy, RIGHT NOW, if they can meet your price. remember, you still have that supply and deman issue to deal with! But you are def buying 2 vehicles, right?!

There is not one dealership fleet dept that will turn down a deal that makes them money without all the hassle.... unless they have a car like the coupe, which will sell no matter what. in that case, why give you a deal? In 1,2 or 3 years it will not be as hot and i will be back to making my $300 to $500 per car (not counting the holdback).

Don't get irritated because they will not match what you think is a great price, they have someone else paying more for you. It's a lot like Ebay, but without the page hit counter for you to watch.

Try the Fleet/Internet Dept like i suggested for the other dealers. I will be calling this AM to check on my G and let him know you are going to call.

BTW, the coupe WAS found to have an inherent issue with its doors! Yes, true! But the sedan guys fixed that by adding two more and increasing the trunk space, and lightening the vehicle by a couple hundred pounds. You might check out this enhanced coupe, its called sedan and you can negotitate a GREAT price with all the bells and whistles.

Re: Hi Everyone!!!

Dizz,

Sorry to hear about your experience at Mission Viejo. I do aftermarket audio and video work for them. You need to talk to Vince the Sales Manager if you want the deal. I am down at my shop next door to them on Saturdays. If you want me to call Vince and walk you over and get you hooked up let me know. But as you heard before, you are asking for the two hottest cars on their lot. The only thing about the QX's I know is don't get it with the factory flip down video screen. The design of the headliner does not give it enough support so the DVD skips alot and the entire thing rattles. So now we do aftermaket video screens in the headreasts. Other than that the QX is a sweet ride.

Rudy

Do you hear me?

Re: Hi Everyone!!!

I got my coupe 2 months ago from Costa Mesa Inf and they took off $1,000 off MSRP for Prem Package and Sports. But I think the 6MT are a little more in demand then the 5AT. My Sales Guy was Bob from the Internet Sales Dept.

Re: Hi Everyone!!!

Reggie,

Same thing happened to me the first time around, I had to walk into the sales office before someone actually approached me...seems like no one wanted to go outside and take the initiative to handle a new sale. So from there I just took a quick test drive and then told them I was in no hurry to buy, from there I just did everything else by email and phone. Overall Exp was Good but not excellent, I think they stressed that damn evaluation way too much saying how important it was for getting good marks.

Re: Hi Everyone!!!

Riverside all the way. Ask for Paul if possible.
Trust me, my wife works for the company that owns the dealership...and they also own Cerritos Infiniti.
Good luck.

Re: Hi Everyone!!!

Thank you StevieRay.
It seems that Riverside will do right by us.

I'm going to take SocalTed's advice on how to deal with the dealer.
