California 92708 (714) 964-3697

Register Here or just PM me with your info. Cheers, Ted

Re: Tuner Series #3 - O.C. and Free

LMAO - - - that is too funny! Special thanks to all Transporter's for coming out and helping with the class. IT was def a mini-G meet!

Lesson's learned by me on Sunday:
1) Bring more tools and wrenches/sockets +2 and -2 from what mfgr's tell you to bring in their instructions.

2) Rhino ramps are much better than scissor jacks and stands.

3) Asphalt stays hot, even after 2 hours in the shade.

4) If you bring SPF 4million, use it.

5) Mirrors would have been a great way to get the kids more involved in the install, without accidently banging them in the heads with the wrenches

*Josh (TheDude)- thanks for the ramps and support provided with that gimpy wrist of yours. thanks for the ramps...a new addition to the Transport tool shack.

*Ed (G35lin) - as always, your help is greatly appreciated. You definitely fit right in at FCBC!

* Ruben (rever) - How long does it really take to get those splash guards back on... I mean, really come on! J/K thanks for showing up with the stands, ramps and great attitude!

* Anthony H. (LAgolfer)- Sorry you couldn't get your nicotine rush...is that why you kept making tool, gatorade, taco bell and Carl's Jr. runs?!?!

* Ed R. (eagle1) - Next to mile square park... not in it!! I bet about 45 minutes into your exploration of tha park you were wishing it was the Oval Mile, instead of the Mile Suare, eh?! thanks for making the grand entrance and running some kids around the block. They were all talking about you (HOW MUCH HP does he have!?!?) A lot of dad's came over and were asking how much they could pick up a used G35 for. I hope you haven't started something

* Tery (tluv) - which car were you working on? Or did you bring a twin brother... man, you were all over the place. Thanks a million for your support.

* Wing (Ivory_G) & Bro....Again, your photographic assistance captures the day. "Ed benching Ted's car" I just about fell out of my chair that was sooo funny! Ed's butt was not...let's not laugh at Ed's butt. must not laugh....must not laugh....respect for the prez. (hee hee hee)

Cheers, Ted

Next week...Session #4 - ICE and Car detailing.... everyone one is welcome!

Re: Tuner Series #3 - O.C. and Free

That is a great thing that you are doing for the kids (and parents) Ted, so thanks for letting me have a chance to chip in a little bit to help out.

The best part of giving a ride was not wringing it up to 80mph in third gear while on the race course suspension settings....it was watching the passenger lurch agains the belts when I put on the StopTech braking clinic and hauled it down hard and then did a U turn. The kid's eyeballs almost popped out of his head. In a matter of a couple of seconds he went from pressed back against the seat to leaning forward against the harness to slamming his shoulder and head into the door and window! His seat cushion was dry...but I think it took effort on his part. It is one thing to explain the inertial dynamics associated with body roll, chassis stiffening, tire rollover, etc etc. It is another to take somebody out and then, after all the talk talk, show them with some seat time about the walk walk. Makes believers fast!

Probably need to collect a few of those airline bags before the next class just to be safe. It is not the kind of "In N Out" burger presentation that we normally think of!

Cheers.
