Unhappy Need brake help near LA!

Hey all. Got my rotors and brakes changed about a month ago, but the thing still squeaks like a son of a beezy, it's on Brembo's but the brakes I changed it to were Axxis pads and the rotors were Centrics. Any decent places near UCLA that can check it out and diagnose the problem for cheap? New to the area and my wallets a bit on the lighter side. Thanks guys!

Changing new rotors and pads don't mean that the squeaky sound will go away. Sometimes some pads are designed like that. I've had Project Mu pads for about 2 years now. They squeak sometimes even when they were new..

These are constantly squeaking up to a point they make my ears bleed. I'm guessing I can just take it to a regular ghetto brake shop and have them diagnose it? Or is there something "special" about Brembo's that only nissan/infiniti dealerships service?

My front brake shims are missing which is causing the squeaks. Can you take it back to to the shop and have them check it out? In any case, Pep Boys has a free brake evaluation coupon:

Even Sears has a free brake evaluation. Go to sears.com, check out their weekly ad. It's on page 10, bottom right hand corner.

Make sure your pads have shims, and that they're greased.

Other than that, get a "more expensive" street pad...

Update: turns out that one of the shims was on top of the other and the pads weren't greased. Used some Nissan grease on the rears, and it somewhat made the noise go away, but the screeching is still apparent (maybe from the fronts). They did charge me a freaking grip though... Anyone know of a person/place that can do this (beer & lunch!)? The job itself takes under 30 minutes... but I still got charged up the ****.
