Yes, but I don’t think any Nissan techs can work on my 1994 Q45 or my G35, they may have an idea how work on it, but I won’t trust them to do a chain guide on my Q or an A/C-Radio controls on my G .

Similar but not the same.

The idea is that the guys from CarZone have experience working on Infiniti vehicles; I personally won’t trust a Nissan tech to work on my Infiniti. It's just my opinion.

^ Why your G35 is a Nissan Skyline 350GT in Japan...not to mention the 350Z is almost identical to the G35. Your Q45 is called the Nissan President in Japan and then later called the Cima in Japan. All of the parts on the car are made by Nissan and are branded Nissan (lol there are ZERO parts in the world branded INFINITI)...any of those fixes anybody with a brain could perform.

I know it may be hard to understand that your car is a Nissan...the Infiniti badge does not make it special or different (Its a marketing ploy). Fundamentally its a car made by Nissan in Japan, and any factory trained Nissan Mechanic WILL be able to perform the required repairs whether it is a Nissan or Infiniti...any mechanic that trys to tell you otherwise is full of $hit.

I'll be going to my mechanic for my 60k service. He's located in Arcadia, probably set you up with a good deal. If you're not worried about local, Corner 3 is recommended.

I'd actually recommend Metro Infiniti (in Monrovia) and I've been told to make an appointment with Cheryl. If it's under warranty just take it to the dealer.

Good information, where did you learned that Wikipedia?

I live in California US. I'm glad the Nissan tech in Japan can fix Infiniti too.

Its called being an enthusiast...Ive owned Nissans...err Infiniti's for years. Its clear you are NEW to this whole thing.

Fvckin NOOBS LOL!!...I let you think you own something more than a 350Z with a weight problem.

Please do yourself a favor and do some research about Nissan/Infiniti. How different do you really think they are...Nissan is very standardized...every mass produced V6 they produce is some sort of VQ35. They use what they call the FM platform...the cars no matter the model are VERY cookie cutter.

They ALL operate the same way...Infiniti does not do anything special. So in reality the procedure to change a timing chain on a 350Z is identical to the G35, or the M35, or the FX35, or the Nissan Altima,...etc etc...you see what Im getting at NOOB. Infiniti has no special formulas...why do you ask? Simply COST...it would cost Nissan/Infiniti WAAAAY too much money to make the G35 operate entirely independent and different than any other car with a VQ35 motor. The only difference is how they are tuned from the factory.

Furthermore as I stated above there is ZERO difference between a Nissan
Master Tech and an Infiniti Master Tech. Once again anyone who tells you otherwise is A) either full of $h!t...or B)as Donpisto said...doesn't know $h!t

OP Sorry to OT the $hit out of your thread...back to the task at hand

The best shop in SoCal is Corner 3 Garage!!! Make the drive!

How old are you 13?

OK I agree Infiniti=Nissan, I don't know anything about vehicles, although I have a master in mechanical engineer working in the auto industry for 10 years, and Corner3 is a good Independent shop. Happy now?

Now lets back to the original post.

Degree doesn't mean you know something. It just means you took the time and money to go to school. Look at several of the most reputable CEO's...they may not even have a college degree

In the end, a degree is just a piece of paper. It's knowledge and experience that distinguishes what you really know and obviously you still can't understand that Nissan = Infiniti as Toyota = Lexus, Honda = Acura, etc.

And what's wrong with calling someone a noob? How does that make them childish?

And back to the original topic? It's been discussed and settled. Just because you don't want to take the advice given doesn't mean the question has not been answered.

Im actually 12 hahaha j/k. Im 28 and educated just like you...have the degree, work for a Fortune 500... the whole nine yards. Cars are my hobby and passion...some do drugs...some do basket weaving...I do cars and I learn everything I can about them.

But whatever. Im over it...water under the bridge...your response took too long and I don't care anymore. Have fun with your Nissan.
