Trusted mechanic in Pasadena/Glendale area for 45k mile maintenance?
Hi - I just moved down to Pasadena about 5 months ago and need to do my 45k mile maintenance. Can anyone recommend a trusted/reputable mechanic in the Pasadena / Glendale area?
I would go to the dealership but had a suspicious experience at Glendale Infiniti when I brought my car in for an oil change. They tried to scare me into replacing my power steering belt for $100 (excl. labor), pointing to what looked like the slightest wrinkles and "chips" in the belt and saying I could lose my power steering if it broke. He mentioned it once but didn't try to sell me on it anymore after I showed disinterest (in other words, it was completely unnecessary). Then, in the middle of doing my oil change, they told me that my Check Engine light came on - I've never seen the Check Engine light come on before and my warranty just expired 6 months ago. He followed that up by telling me he didn't "have the equipment" to do a diagnostic that day and said I should schedule to come in 2 days later, at which time he'd charge me $150 for the service.
If going to a dealership is the best route, does anyone know of another trustworthy dealership within reasonable distance from Pasadena? For some reason these guys just don't seem trustworthy. Also, if you check them out on Google Maps, they've got 2 out of 5 stars on 49 reviews. Lots of unhappy customers.
Thanks guys

I was at Temple city auto today got all my fluid change for my s2k, they did a great job!!! they even change my black garment that seals the tire stem cause it was leaking air. They work on all my cars. Go there and ask for henry and tell them john with blue s2k and white G35 recommended you to go there.

I hope you know there is ZERO difference between the two. When a Nissan Master Tech goes to work for an Infiniti dealership he is automatically an Infiniti Master Tech. You do realize your Infiniti is a Nissan right...?
