I got a no front plate ticket, in front of my house, parked on the curb. (first and only day I parked on the curb) It was issued by parking enforcement.

All I did was mail in the amount. And thats it.

But the other time I gotten a NFPT, I put back on my plate, went to Walnut Sherriffs and got it signed off. Remember to keep your windows rolled down, if you have tint...

go to the lacity-parking.org website and request an administrative hearing on your no front plate ticket. just give some reasons why the ticket shouldn't have been issued and/or how you always run your front plate. odds are they'll send you a letter telling you the fine has been reduced to $10 and all you have to do is send in a dated picture of your car with your front plate attached.

or you can just pay the $25 fine and be done with it.

That's what I do! I also cut some bolts and super glue them to the holes in the license plate, so when I double side tape it. It seems like it's bolted down.

I've gotten a bunch of those tickets and its not a "correctable" offense, at least when a parking enforcement officer gives it to you. I just paid it and that was it.

If you need to get it signed off it will have a check in the box under "Correctable Violation". Thats on a moving violation. I dont think there is such a thing from what I recall on the parking tickets. if its from parking, just pay it.

I got a ticket a couple of months ago for no front plates. I went to to the police department to get my ticket signed, they didn't even bother coming out to check out my car. After that I mailed in the ticket w/ a check.

If its correctable (should be obvious if it is or not), you must go to the stated station and get it signed off, pay the bail amount, and that's it.

If its not correctable (rare), you pay the fine, and that should be it (iirc).
