Running Winter Tires in SoCal?

I know I know we don't get snow. But the dealer has this deal on Dunlop SP Sport Winter M3 the speed rating is H (=130mph) for the size (235/45/R18).

My OEM Turanza's needs replacement and I also f'ed one of them by spraying fix-a flat on one of my tires.

The Dunlop M3s have good reviews and they also do well in dry conditions but what about SoCal heat?

The deal is Dunlop will be cheaper because the 4th tire cost only $1.00. Compared to the OEM Turanza's, the difference is ~600 bucks installed. Also the Turanza's only gave me about 29K miles.

I have a post in tire section regarding this but I wanted to target SoCal folks to see if anyone is running winter tire here and hopefully a feedback or any thoughts.

Thanks!

Another one of these threads where I gotta ask, "You're kidding right?" Dealerships don't give good deals on tires, I don't care if they're telling you the 4th tire is free....and they almost are! Figure out what they'll charge you for the complete set then check with www.tirerack.com and your local independent tire stores. Stealerships don't give deals on tires unless you're removing them from the cars on their lot after they close.... that would be a deal! Check with Sean (SXEXCX) for a real deal on tires, give him a PM!

I appreciate the heads up on the stealership. I did call other places and got other quotes and as of now I have my selections and narrowing them down. I'm intrigued by these Dunlop M3s from the stealership. Shockingly enough the stealership has a better quote than tirerack.com. These same tires at tirerack cost $796.00 for the set and stealership $683.00 installed. The only problem is that these M3s are winter tires and I don't know how this would do in SoCal winter of 70 degrees...
