I sent an email to Aaron from Speedventures to see if they were still taking sign ups for a friends of mine. He said they were full now and people can only sign up for the waiting list in case someone cancels. Anyone still on the "maybe" list that was still thinking of going may be SOL.

Hey Gabe,
Thanks for the update.

Yup, again it's not at all surprising to me ... year after year. As Brandon would know ... ya snooze, ya lose!

On the high side ... it looks like we have a nicely size group yet again.

I'm very looking forward to this one, as I've revised my suspension settings yet again. *Fingers crossed* And my ECU is finally tuned (curtesy of Techno Square). On top of all this ... JGTC! Wow ... this is one way to finish the year off

See you all there!

VROOM VROOM!

Friday 12/17: Mainly sunny. Highs in the upper 60s and lows in the mid 40s.

out of curiosity, how does Speed Ventures handle rain days? Do we still run?

As for tech prep, I gave the car a good once over this weekend. I replaced the air filter (which was overdue), checked tire pressure, checked all my belts, etc... I'm due for an oil change, but I think i'll do that after the race. I'm also going to try those new brake pads out, im going to drop them in and replace all the brake fluid on thursday afternoon.

I'll need to pick up another roll of painters tape, but otherwise I think i'm good to go. I'm super excited about hitting the track and seeing all of you

As far as rainy days go, their website says we'll run rain or shine. As far as your oil change goes, CHANGE YOUR OIL. Especially before a day of high revving, high speeds and high engine temps. Viscosity break down is VERY common in these types of conditions and if you're DUE for an oil change, you don't want to rely on OLD oil protecting you. Swing by a Jiffy Lube and hook it up if you don't want to climb under the car (like I didn't want to). Also, be sure to break in those brake pads Thursday too. There's a "break in" coating on the pads that you'll want to burn off before getting on the track. I'm sure Clint will concur with my comments and suggestions. See you there bro.
