Harry's Story:

Ceasar was found over 2 years ago as a stray on the street. Our volunteer had seen him for more than 3 weeks wandering the streets but was unable to get him. Finally she got him and he has been with us ever since. He was in terrible shape and we actually thoguht we were going to lose him. Thanks to our vet and dedicated staff and volunteers Ceasar pulled through and is doing well. Actually gaining weight and enjoying walks and the company of other dogs.

On Sept 5, 2010 we received and email asking about Ceasar and how he came to APR. After many emails back and forth we realized Ceasar is really Harry, a 13yr old shepherd mix who was a victim of a terrible domestic violence case. When his mom had to leave to save her life Harry and his brother were left behind. For whatever reason they were both dumped on the street without any concern for their safety. It has been two years that his mom has been looking for him and she finally found one of her beloved pets. We do not want to give too much information as to respect the privacy of the people involved and to make certain we can get Harry back home with the family he loves. We need help to cover costs to arrange transportation to get him to his mom who has moved out of state. If you can help by donating even a small amount it will be greatly appreciated. We will keep everyone updated on his journey and eventually his reunion with his mom. Finally after 2 years of feeling lost and depressed, Harry is going home!
