Cerritos Infiniti I-Valuation

Anybody else get this promotion in the mail?

October 1-November 1,2010
With I-Valuation you'll enjoy a complimentary and comprehensive inspection of your G35 performed by an Infiniti-trained technician.

This inspection covers all major components of your vehicle including:
-Engine
-Brakes
-Battery Performance
-Transmission
-Tires
-Shocks and struts

I usually perform all of my car's maintenance myself. If this is a "complimentary" inspection I wouldn't mind driving a couple miles to the dealership to have a tech who specializes in these cars take a look at my vehicle. I'm just wondering if there's a catch to this, seems too good to be true. Coming from the dealership, not sure I'm completely convinced that its a free inspection. If anybody knows about this I would like to hear it.

^ Dealerships love to offer 'complimentary' inspections to generate foot traffic. I wouldn't be surprised if they find something wrong that you had completely 'overlooked' before. The inspection will be free, but you will probably be subjected to a hard sell for maintenance work as well as bombarded by salespeople to trade up.

Another thing dealerships do is to say they need to restock their pre-owned inventory and need owners to come in for a free valuation of their cars.
