Berk HFCs in CA.

Those of you that have installed BERKS HFCs here in CA., will they pass smog or at least the sniffer test? Last year the tech never bothered looking under my coupe. Yes, I did a SEARCH on this particular subject and found zero info!

That should help...

""Just for the record, I passed CA smog yesterday with a Berk's HFC, a set of headers, a K&N cold air box and a Skunk2 dual exhaust on my MY03. Yes, the air box has a CARB # on it, as does the HFC, and even after a visual inspection, I passed." - note: the HFC does not have a CARB EO number!! "

Thanks Cobra....^....I know there's a lot of our members here in CA. that have concerns about passing smog with HFCs.

I'm not sure if everyone has gotten the memo on this forum but those roadside smog checks are 100% voluntary Although they may put the pressure on you, you have the right to decline.

The roadside smog checks are used by the California air research board to survey how effective the smog testing program is actually working.

I personally do emissions testing myself and know people who have been doing so for decades.

I put money down they could not tow my car or get it up on the ramps for the smog check point. Very happy to hear I can deny taking the test. I have been running around socal with testpipes forever.
