Take it to another police station, I don't think you have to have a local cop sign off your ticket, I got a ticket in Fremont and had a San Jose cop sign off on it because I live in San Jose.

Yeah I'm definitely going to another station....but if I leave my windows down and walk inside then they come out and see the windows down, wouldn't it be obvious?

Can they ask me to roll the windows up?

Have people sitting in your car, it all depends on the cop that comes out sometimes they will just sign it off and others will inspect other things like clear corners and tint.

my advice carries no warranties or guarantees lol will it cause suspicion?

personally, i've been fortunate w/ my tints so haven't had to deal w/ it, at least on this car.

roll your windows down, pull the fuse, if they ask for you to roll them up, you can make up some story about how they don't work...

Cop pulled me over for no front plates. He was behind me the whole time. Wrote me for tinted windows. Probable cause was stupid. Also, this was at 2am on my way to jack in the box. Fighting this ticket next week
Damm cops are such a dbag. My friend who is a rookie cop is becoming a dbag too

Equal as we can be.

I got a ticket for tints way back, tic toc, further back than most of you have been here, but it's all the same game just different calendars. So I inquired for a mercy sign off at the CHP desk to a proud shift sergeant at the Tustin Ave. CHP post. This fine sergeant had a few wonderful lessons to share with me as to how the "World Is & Why" (this is fun stuff-s/hit). So in conversation we made a bargain to sign off my ticket for tint if his contemporaries personal vehicles at his location had no tint on their vehicles. Smiles (I did spy the game over the fence prior to going in to the the SS-office for my check in). And guess what we found? Sorta like 2 vehicles without tint, really and they were new vehicles too, so out of a lot full of CHP employee vehicles in a "CA. State" lot only 2 without tint. I know it sounds like how did you get the dope prior to going in to the office to pose the challenge, I stood on a planter wall and "I Spy All The Cars". So Mr. CHP and me go out for our fun field trip with him stating "no CHP officer would ever tint their car windows", maybe he was one of our "best"? It is sometimes almost like the ice cream truck, knowing what is around the corner, I digress. Anyway, guess what I got after Mr. CHP is wearing egg on his face, and I will treasure it forever, "F-you I'm not signing off your ticket". Gotta love those ethics from our finest in society. So now I have a letter/scpit in my car from my dermatologist, "Please be aware my patient has been treated for skin cancer, this script is for tinted windows on his personal vehicle for treatment", please contact me for further regard on this issue (909-111-1111), then the famous Doctor signature scribble stuff. I really did have issues with skin cancer, but if I would have had tint on my car windows many years prior to treatment, things may have gone with out intervention. So be creative and have lots-o-fun, in a good equal and sharing way.

Love, love, love

Take care all, and have a happy and safe holiday season.
