I'm looking to pick up a beater, and wanted to know if there are any car auctions near rialto or covina. I went to one in santa fe springs but it seemed fake to me, like it was a car dealer trying to pose as an auction.

You need to be a wholesaler with a wholesaler's license to get into a real auto action.

I'm gonna guess you went to "public motors".
