Re: recommend a dealer in LA
usually when you purchase a car in the first couple of months dealers won't go any lower than msrp. g35 coupes are hard to discount since everyone wants it. i got mine at glendale infiniti and the fleet manager you want to look for is jimmy kim. didn't get any discounts but no hassle and no bs. you won't spend eight hours at the dealer and drive home without your 05. and i'm not trying to hype him up because we have the same last name. Kim is pretty common like nugyen haha

Santa Monica Infiniti is pretty good as far as coming up with a suitable price to fit your needs. I didn't get mines there though. I had to go to Van Nuys Miller Infiniti for mine; only because they were the only dealer that had a mint condition black on black 6spd coupe. I went to Metro also, but they didn't a big selection
Re: recommend a dealer in LA
I don't recommend Santa Monica in the slightest. When I dropped by there in search of my G35, they told me that a white sedan with black leather and 6mt doesn't exist. They went so far as to make my friend and I wait around for 15 minutes while they did a so-called "nation-wide" search, which apparently turned up nothing. However, my friend and I did a search from infiniti.com and turned out that Riverside had one. The kicker of it all was, my friend knew another owner who already had one. Santa Monica are dicks trying to get rid of the inventory they have by making false claims and wasting time.
Aside from Santa Monica, Riverside was pretty cool. So I suggest, although a bit outside L.A., to go to them. It's where I got mine.
However, MSRP is a good deal on a car that just came out. Unless you have a phat hook-up. Like Kim said, above.
And it's Nguyen...
Edited by AraiJunior on 11/17/04 03:00 AM.

Re: recommend a dealer in LA
I would say to just call a lot of Infiniti dealers, ask for the fleet manager and tell them what you want and ask them for a price. After you get the best deal, call the Infiniti close to your house and tell them this guy gave me this deal will you match. That way you might not have to drive very far.
I did this and got a great deal for my 04 sedan. Cerritos would have given me $1000 below invoice, so I called South Bay Infiniti and they gave me $1700 below invoice.

Re: recommend a dealer in LA
i'm pretty sure u can get discounts on sedans vs. coupes. dealers hardly ever match prices for coupes. they'll just tell u to go get it at the dealer that gave you that good price. i wouldn't bet on dealers to get rid of their coupe inventory so easily. they'll just wait for the next guy to pay the msrp rather than discounting. my bad on the nguyen... haha

then i'm gonna wait then, there is no way i'm paying msrp for infiniti, i sold my 2002 m3 and am looking for a auto tranny car, so g35c is among my choices but not THE choice.

Actually, I had an excellent experience with Infiniti Of Santa Monica when I bought my '04 6MT Coupe. But, I went through the internet and worked with the internet sales manager. Also, I went there armed with a lot of research and I also talked to a lot of other dealers through the internet. Infiniti of Santa Monica gave me the best deal - by far! (Granted, it was an '04 Coupe towards the end of the year).
But the best suggestion is just to shop around and do a lot of research. Luckily, with the internet, this is a lot easier. And if you're going for an '05, the longer you can bear to wait, the better.

Try Mike Breedlove the internet sales manager at Infiniti of Mission Viejo. He did the "search" for me too and had it delivered from Santa Monica the next day. He's very cool to deal with.
