I hope this is not what you mean because God forbid if laws are being enforced just because they are laws, for the sake of it.

I'm not arguing with you, I just wanted to hear a reasonable explanation from someone didn't have an issue with a front plate law nothing against you as an individual
I think you are taking what I say out of context. It was a LEO who informed me on why the law was around. A law I agree with, hence; I would not think of them as mindless drones... especially when my posts seem to favor the law and LEOs. Im not sure if you get what Im saying, because your responses seem a bit misguided.

Of course you have your opinions, which are just fine... but all I wanted to do was express that it is a law and of course you can get ticketed for breaking the law (something even the OP understands). As far as my support of the law, its one that does more good than harm because well, it doesnt really do any harm. Its not like CARB where you can get fined up to 10k or get your car taken away. Just seems like there is SOOOO much more to worry about than a silly little front plate, None of us follow the front plate law anyways...

For what its worth, I do understand to a slight extent what your point-of-view is. Thats why I dont rock a front plate myself.

Love it BlueDevils95!

Anyway, to me its just like front window tint. At some point, you're gonna get cited for it, and you just kinda factor in is the look worth the expense. I've had my front windows tinted on my coupe for 8 years now..literally a couple weeks after I bought the car. I've been cited 3 times, and had to take off my tint and re-apply it all three times. Cost $80-100 each time(Suntint is $60 to remove and re-apply, $10-20 for the ticket, $10-20 for the sheriffs to sign off). And its been totally worth it. I love the look, and used to take the car to Vegas every month for 4-5 days.

If they had that Show N Go thing, I def would have that on my car. If I get it repainted, thats probably what I'll do.

exactly. i got one like this by an airport cop on a bicycle.

west la, playa del rey and santa monica hand them out like stale candy. i finally ordered new plates (bc my car never came w/ the front one) after wasting about $300 in tickets over the course of 4 yrs or so.

Talk about adding nothing to the conversation.
Of course thats what I'm going to do but the whole point to the thread
was to inform other members.
So maybe they can avoid the same PITA.
Have a great day.

I bet every person in CA driving w/o front plate is fully aware that this is illegal and against CA law. This law has been enforced for a very long time not just by cops, but parking patrol, and other forms of law enforcement. If you break the law, just expect to pay the fine, and just move on.

Just sayin. That's all.

Okay, but the point of this thread wasn't to inform people that not having a front plate is illegal,
rather to let them know that parking enforcement can hand tickets out for no front plates.
I've been driving in SoCal for 20 years and have never gotten a "no front plate ticket" by parking enforcement.
So I thought it stood to reason there were other people that were unaware as well.
