Anything from downtown & north is good.
South of downtown is no bueno. Hope that helps.
I can't really suggest specific neighborhoods.
Well,
Central Cal,,,, mmeehhh. (Sorry to my family in Central Cal)
SoCal:
1) Awesome weather
2) Great community for gatherings and drives
3) Great roads to drive, hills, canyons, mountain climbs
A down side is that the CHP is always looking at you and waiting for you to do something bad or just pull you over for something else (license plates, exhaust, tint, whatever)
. The tinted windows on the front doors is an easy fix it ticket for them, the rest of the rest is no problem how dark you go
. Housing market is great right now and the further away from Downtown S.D. and north the lower the prices go. Heading north towards Escondido is still pricey, but nice.Where I live in Temecula (about an hour north of Down town), larger houses are in the mid to upper $200Ks. I've actually found a few lofts in Down town S.D. below $300K though. SoCal is the place to be though. I wouldn't have any plans to move out east, even though I grew up in Slat Lake City, Ut.
Good luck with your decision, we'll all be waiting to welcome you over.

well, I have decided I will be moving to san diego
I have had a few job offers and currently working out details with a government contractor. Thankfully my friends family has offered to let me stay at their apartment when I do move so I can get settled in with the job and start looking for a house or room to rent elsewhere.
Just thought I would ask if anyone here is looking for a room mate?
