Need to borrow IP oem bumper for 05 coupe in Socal Pomona area

I got a ticket for not having a front license plate and I dont't want to drill holes in my Nismo bumper. So, if anyone has a OEM IP front bumper I can borrow in Socal pomona area I'd appreciate it. Unless you guys have any other suggestions?

Stick it on your dash? Keep it in your trunk so when they ask for it just say you haven't put it on yet and show them the plate?

Not legal.

For an officer to deem it legal, it must be bolted to the bumper.

OP, an option is using the Stillen bracket where your tow hook cover goes. Though you will be spending some good change on it.

Here's one thing I did that tricked CHP. Get L brackets and super glue some bolt heads over the holes of the L bracket. Attach the L brackets using double sided tape in an area right next to the place you're getting it check at. The purpose of using the bolt heads is to make it look like it's bolted to the bumper The license plate is of course held in by bolts to the L brackets. Once approved, drive off and pull over and remove the brackets that were double side taped onto the bumper. No holes, nothing. Make sure you use good double sided tape because they MIGHT give it a little tug.

Just extended the due date to get this checked. My nismo bumper is aftermarket so it does not have the square tow hook area. It's flush. Man I may have to just drill holes and just cover it up later with license plate hole covers.

I know the law says that it has to be bolted to the bumper, but what I did was just zip tie mine to the Nismo vents and got it signed off. Give it a try and go to a officer and see what he says.

DO NOT GO TO A SHERIFF!!
