What hourly rate are auto mechanics charging around here?
What do mechanics charge per hour in the So Cal area? Is it a standard rate? Or does it depend on the job? I need an AC line replaced, which involves removing the Vortech bracket and blower. I got a quote from a mechanic for a 4 hour job. I just wanted to compare hourly rates. Any master mechanics on this forum, please chime in. PM me if you don't want to post. Much appreciated.
Not a master mech, but I know that in this part of Cali it depends on the job or shop, an average rate is $40-50 per hour, but some shops are charging as high as $90 per hour.
Hey Les! Yeah, moved mid-Feb. Mostly settled in now and had a chance to take the G out for a spin. I came back with a tear in the AC line
Looks like the line got too close to one of the belts or something or the way it was zip-tied to the intake pipe
Oh well, sh*t happens
Your ride is looking good, I still like the the Akebonos the best
