So I just moved here and my car is currently being shipped here from Hawaii. In the meantime I decided to do some shopping. I was interested in HFC especially Fast Intentions because I've heard it may pass the smog test. Anyone here pass with those or know a shop where you could get a hook up. I don't feel like swapping out to my OEM cats every year to pass. I've seen a lot of G's in SD and most of them are slightly modified and I was wondering if there are any G clubs. In California, passing the SMOG test isn't the issue, it's the visual inspection.

if you can delay until 2013. Then it'll be easier to pass. Starting 2013 you just need to pass the obd test. They don't do tail pipe testing after 2001 models. So long as you dont have a check engine light and you pass visual you'll pass.

 

now that there's no more sniffer for late model cars in 2013, you might. just depends on if they get more or less **** w/visual

there are a ton of meets in the SD area, the big local club is SDCE, they have a facebook group with all the info you need

 

i couldn't find them on Facebook.
