SoCal shop to pass emissions

So I have a set of high flow cats on my car no check engine light or anything like that but the cats themselves do not have the CARB numbers stamped on the bottom that are needed for the inspection. Anyone know any shops that will overlook the visual part? It technically passes smog emissions, just not visual. Thanks.

I go to Smog Only in Glendale. He never checks under the car.
I didn't pass the 1st time because of the HFCs, I had to put the oem cats back on and finally passed.

Cool thanks. I'm not originally from California so smog is done every 2 years is there anything else that needs to be done? The "smog only" kinda threw me off. Thanks again.

No, They just put the sniffer for the smog check in the tailpipe and run it through it's gears.
But if you have HFCs you probably won't pass, the numbers for the allowed emissions will most likely be too high.
It was for me, so I had to put the oem cats back on and then went back to the same place and passed.
Here were my #s with Berk HFCs the 1st time.

Well I have the stock cats worst case...but I got the newer kinetix HFCs that are supposedly smog passable they just don't have the CARB number needed for the visible inspection part of it. Thanks for your help.

Don't be fooled by the above posts! CA. has the new STAR system and requires more than just the sniffer test. They visually go over your car, even after market intakes won't pass without a CARB sticker. HFCs won't pass because there isn't one that's legal in CA., they won't pass the sniffer test! You need to swap the OE cats back on, drive your G for 25 miles and then take the test which you'll pass unless you have error codes.

Didn't they pass a law in 2013 that starting in 2014 the sniffer test would no longer be required? The shop I took mine to last year was a STAR station and I swear I remember him saying that the sniffer would no longer be done but that they will start doing the OBD II scanner for a more comprehensive check and if there are any codes present, than you would fail. I could be wrong so don't quote me verbatim and please find out for yourself if this is indeed true. Problem though is that most HFCs will give off a smell anyway and if the tech is smart, they'll probably pick up on it rather quick. I have a custom exhaust, stock intakes and put the stock cats on before getting my smog.

If it indeed is sniffer free; I no longer have to worry about smogs

HFCs don't give off any smell, you're probably thinking of test pipes.
Either way you won't pass with either TPs or HFCs.
I'm not aware of any new law that does away with the sniffer test.
California legislation would never allow that because it would cost them revenue... greedy a-holes.
Just had my smog done last month and they did both sniffer and OBD II scan.
