Did a search on this already and saw some mentions here and there but wanted to ask again as many of those threads are years old.

What are the best shops you guys take your cars to in SoCal?

I see Corner 3 and CarZone mentioned a lot. Van Nuys is a little far for me so I'm leaning Corner 3. Have any of you guys gone to The Auto Clinic in Irvine? They seem to have pretty good reviews on Yelp too.

I just need some basic installs done.

HKS Sport Exhaust (muffler), MD plenum spacer, and possibly an Ionic Dynamics front lip.

How are the prices at these shops normally? I've always done everything myself so I really have no idea. If it's pretty expensive I'll probably just bite the bullet and spend the time to install myself.

For those 3 installs, what would you guys estimate for cost?

One thing nice about CarZone (818) 373-1330 they can handle all three installs, one stop shop! In your thread you posted HKS exhaust (muffler) this must mean the whole exhaust. Figure $100 per hour (ball park) but probably less. 2 hours for the exhaust system, an hour for the plenum spacer (that's how long it took me) and about that long for the lip. Make an appointment with CarZone for 8:00 AM you could be on your way home for lunch. Lots of choices here in SoCal...Gary

 

It's just the muffler not the full exhaust system. But dang! Never knew it runs that expensive lol...maybe I should just do it myself.

The muffler should be pretty simple and the plenum doesn't look THAT bad either.

I installed my plenum at home and it was fairly easy to install. Do some cleaning while you're at it. It'll be more satisfying if it were installed with your own hands.
