its time to buy =), last min questions

called a few dealers (telephone only) all the near by theatres.. and the only price they will offer me is $38,000 out the door (after tax and reg) with only the premium package this is the Montclair or Glendale dealer (im not sure lol.. its written somewhere in my notes).

What im looking for:
Black G35 Coupe
6MT
Graphite Leather
Areo Package

i believe $38 is regular price straight from the invoice.. the car is going to be purchased in cash along with a trade-in.. is there no way i can get anything cheaper then this? and i'll be making the purchase as soon as this storm stops

also some additional questions
how is the front license plate mounted? if it is drilled on, will the dealer already have this on? or should i ask them not to put it on?

what is the difference between the Areo Package and the Areodynamic Body Kit w/Spoiler?

-thanks for all the help btw =) i spent the past 5 hours on the phone with dealers around the area, so i think my post sounds a little moody -.-

also try to negociate more on your trade in. When I purchased my car, they added some options and wanted to charge me an arm and a leg for it. Instead of asking them to lower the price, I asked them to give me more on the trade in.

No way yo!!! For the options that you listed, MSRP is $36,760. $38k out the door doesn't seem like the best deal you could get. You're paying almost MSRP price.

First thing is DO NOT NEGOTIATE FROM OUT THE DOOR PRICE!!!!!!!

Find out invoice and msrp for the car with the options you want. Get your financing in order before you look. If the dealer can offer better financing, so be it, but at least you will be ready to go.

I would try for at least $1000 off msrp in Los Angeles, maybe more. Elsewhere, I would try for $2500 off.

Don't mention the trade in until you negotiate the price of the G. After you have reached an agreement on that(dont sign anything and do not agree to purchase yet) then bring up your trade in and negotiate that seperately from the purchase. Again do your homework and look up prices in KBB and in used car for sale ads.

Just like to give a thanks to everyone.. you guys were a great help for me when it came to buying my coupe.. so yup.. I picked her up yesterday =) the dealer was greatl I got a free car cover too.. I just LOVE this car haha I swore i had the biggest smile on my face when I drove out of the lot.

Anyways where can I find a good tint & alarm place? I've heard the tint shop in Rowland Heights on Colima and Batson behind the carwash in the 99 ranch market was good.. Also can anyone recommend a shop that does alarms? I'm planning to get one of those Viper alarms with the 2way remote and autostart... I'm probably not going to get both at the same time.. maybe a month apart for each but if anyone can recommend a good shop that does both i'll save up a little bit then do it all in one day.

also.. can u still get microfiber towels in costco? or where do you guys get your towels

I'll post pictures up later.. =)

If you are going to tint your windows, get Huper Optik. So far I've heard those are good tints. I'm searching for a Huper Optik dealer around your area.
