If you're serious about medicine, it's not too soon to be thinking about med school. Admissions committees like to see certain things, and alot of it is the perception of what you can bring to the table. It's not just about having a 3.9 GPA and the usual hospital volunteer stuff.

Emergency medicine is a great field. I just can't deal with managing 20-50 patients at a time, and the ER is the ultimate dumping ground (meaning you have to treat anybody who comes through the door).

This was my perception on the matter too. Any pointers from someone who has gone down the same path. I'm about as serious as it gets about going down the medical school path.

I didn't mean to start a ucla bashing, but when i see the word "ucla," i have to bash. I cannot seem to restrain myself.

its like when a bull sees the color red, he charges.

USC didn't teach you that bull don't see color? Haha. I got into both, USC is much easier to get into.

UCLA vs. figueroa tech. That's pretty funny - especially for pre-med.

Hey Kyosho, which high school? Diamond Bar or Wal Nut? I'm waiting on Berkeley and Stanford. I got guaranteed to Irvine before I even applied.

UCLA or Berkeley - it's a no brainer. (unless you have a specific major that one of the other universities excels in).
