Old Damper Disposal Question - Long Beach

I just put coilovers on my '06 coupe and I'm wondering what the best way is to dispose of or recycle my old stock dampers and springs. The LB city page has nothing and none of the auto parts stores appear to take them. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I'll be doing a rear coil spring bucket delete pretty soon too, so the same question applies for them

Just bring them to your local metal recycler.

You can throw metal in your recycling bin. The same one you throw cardboard boxes and soda cans in. Thats what its for.

I've read otherwise unfortunately Scorpi0; issues related to the damper fluid(s) and the pressurization. I put a call into CLB today to confirm, but haven't heard back from them yet

Not around here, or anyplace that I’ve ever seen. We get flyers regularly telling us what we can and can’t recycle, scrap metal is not acceptable. The machines that process that stuff are made for household items.
