I believe Clint (THX723) is going to try to setup another G/Z track day at Buttonwillow on 5/6. I'd love to go on 4/15 but it's too short notice.

yeah ... still working on it. I'm lagging

Ideally ... I'd love to plan for a Saturday/Sunday event, but those are just hard to come by (next occassion doesn't occur until Sep/Oct time frame). There's also the increased premium for running on Sat/Sun

So ... realistically, Fridays are still the way to go. The best suggestion I have is to plan ahead and take a well worth it day off of work. I'll give everyone plenty of notice (2 months or so) ... call in sick if you have to The added bonus of running on Fridays' the number of participants per group (the less the better).

I'll keep you all posted. Let's see if we can round up a nice group of Gs and Zs again ... do I smell BBQ for lunch???

Ciao!

Yeah, the 15th is short notice. 5/6 sounds good too.

... or I can collect a few bux from everyone and stop by the local Costco for the goods then set up a grill by the pit area. Maybe even sell burgers to the others racers and split the profit amoung the group to offset the tracking cost? Somehow I don't think this last part's gonna fly too well w. the track facility people (they've got a kitchen of their own)

Ain't nobody said that's not allowed after the races

Clint:
I was planning to go on May 6th to Buttonwillow anyway, so this would be terrific. Cannot make it on the 15th of April, and I am going to Sears Point to run this Sunday the 3rd anyway. Maybe do Cal Speedway in June and Big Willow in early July, then shut it down for the summertime when it is too hot. Open up again in October with the cooler air. Let's definitely do a bbq for end of day if they let us. Get some music going and kick back and relax......at least those that are still alive.
