Car Washes in Area

I moved to So Cal for school and live in an apartment so it's hard for me to wash my car myself like I used to do back home...Can anyone recommend a place for me to get my car washed and leather cleaned/conditioned for a decent price??? By the way I live in Chino Hills and have gone to the Grand Car Wash, but was wondering if there are better ones...I'm willing to drive 20-30 miles..Thank you for your help

i'd be interested too. but i'm in OC near irvine...

It's difficult when you live in an apartment. I usually wash my car at those self car washes but never use the brush. I'll bring my own mitt to wash the car with sometimes.

Theres one on edinger and jamboree, behind jack-in-box or the metrolink station.

or theres another one on irvine center drive and culver-ish. Its by the 7-11 in the Ranch 99 Plaza.

both are decent.

I'd invest in a kit while your out here and wash it at your apartment's car wash spot...as well as condition the leather yourself, then buy a car cover and you wont have to wash every week or two (with the cover).

By the way I live in Chino Hills and have gone to the Grand Car Wash, but was wondering if there are better ones...
since youre in Chino Hills:

if you dont want to wash it yourself, try the hand car wash at the Spectrum. It's right next to the Sams Club gas station on Pipeline.

if you want one of those coin car wash's so you can do it yourself, there's one on Garey Ave just past the 60fwy.

Which apartment compex are you in in CH? I'm over by Soquel Canyon and Pipeline.

Well there is one here in Corona off Mckinley right behind the Mobil gas station. The place is owned by a former baseball player Lennie Dykstra. They can detail the car for you inside and out wet sanding and everything all for about $130.

I don't really trust those hand car washes. I went to one once in my Jeep and first off i'm not sure how clean their cleaning cloths are, but what bothered me the most is the car would go through the line automatically and first it would pass through and get soaped up by the machine. Then once it ran through there two guys would start wiping it with clothss (dirty? who knows) but they never dipped it in more soap or used anything more for lubrication. So the only lubrication you would get is from the initial soaping which didnt seem that good to me.

I think the coin-op places are not bad.. I just try to bring my own mit even though it says no hand washing nobody's ever at those places to watch you. And then you can just park it off on the side and wax it too!

I'd like to find a hand car wash place that REALLY hand washes the car. I'm sure that comes at a good price though.

Buy a hose and connect it to any external faucet on the side of the building by the driveway.
