Tell your buddy it is time to take responsibility for his own actions and pay for his mistakes.

Or just let him take a different car to the inspection and do some jail time for fraud, falsifying documents, etc, etc.

Ya, don't get caught doing fraud..... , Tell him to fix/change the exhaust and go for the inspection.

Just pay to have it swapped back to stock and have it inspected. Once thats clear, go ahead and have the exhaust put back on. Just be carefull next time and dont be revving up too much and attracting too much attention.

I know people with alot of loud cars... my car is pretty loud too at OT... but I've never had any problems with the cops. I only open it up when I need to. And when I do, I make sure its safe.

I asked my 5.0 friend about a similar situation when my other friend wanted to switch trucks to keep his tint on, and the 5.0 said you could get in deep if you get caught. Just think about the penalties if you get caught. That being said, you could probably get away with it, but I would never advise it...too much risk...too little reward
