WTF is a Laker?

Edit: NM, looked it up: A Laker is a type of ship designed for carrying cargo on the Great Lakes. Most lakers have a distinctive profile to make maximum use of the locks and canals along the lakes and the St. Lawrence Seaway: they are long (typically 600-1,000 feet) and narrow, with the pilot house near the bow and a second structure, bearing (typically) a single funnel, near the stern. The newer 1,000 ft lakers have only a stern structure.

My next question is now just

WTF?
Ahhh...grasshopper you must go back through the mists of time to when the Laker franchise was in Minnesota...thats right, the state whose motto is "land of 10,000 lakes". Get it. You grow in wisdom now child.
Not quite as bad as moving a team from New Orleans to Utah and keeping the name the Jazz....lol!

???????????
Do you remember the Bulls at all? I don't remember Luc Longley, Horace Grant, Dennis Rodman, Will Purdue, or any big men being a key part of the offense. They changed the triangle to accomodate Shaq. The triangle is suppose to be an equal opportunity scoring offense, if you have an open look you shoot. It is just that those rules didn't apply to MJ, Kobe, or Shaq.

I thought this last year and again this year, Lamar should be the point guard. I believe in putting your five best players on the court. I just hope they don't put that big dumb white boy at PF if they move Lamar to point and Kwame at center.

the offense structure phil uses is aimed more towards the Gs and than the big men.

This means that they primarily go for their guards than forwards, centers. Lamar at point would be a good option but I dont know how practical it is with their lineup this year. Their pretty small so they need all the size they could get. Lamar is great but his injuries have been a problem. Interesting to see how it all pans out

What would be nice is Donyell Marshall comin down to LA. That would help a good deal. Add Samuel Dalembert to the mix also.

kamal im very impressed with you. U know your bball $hit. But there is one problem with everything. WE DONT HAVE MONEY TO GET ALL THESE PEOPLE.

Dr. Buss will go over the cap and he doesnt want to do that.

They need to get rid of Brian Grant. If they do that then they can room up alot of money and sign alot of people.

yes yes for sure they will go over the cap but like you said, to get rid of brian grant will be VERY VERY TOUGH! hes lost sooo much value since hes come to the lakers and his knees arent the way they used to be b4.

Everytime I watched a laker game it was like watching a gatorade commercial. Everyone on the team needed gatorade to get powered up. They always just seemed soo fatigued and they just didnt have any.... UMPH

If they dont go after a few big guys, the laker name is going to keep deteriating. I mean, before when a team was playing the lakers they were like OH Shi*! Now, if ur playing the lakers its good news cause you get an easy win. THe laker name isnt a name that lives in every home like it was b4 but what can u do? The lakers need to do something FAST to help them sell tickets and memoribilia...

I think they'll certainly get rid of Brian Grant. Based on the new collective bargaining agreement, they can waive 1 player. This would save the Lakers enough money to get some big name in 2007. And either way, if you're a REAL Lakers fan, you're still gonna watch EVERY game, regardless if they suck or not. But I will admit, that it hurt watching last season. But after awhile you kind of expect a loss, and just get overjoyed with a win. GO LAKERS!!!

I'm not sure about the trade, because I like Butler's game. The Lakers are hoping Brown turns out to be a Jermaine O'Neal. There is a rumor about the Lakers trading Brian Grant (& others) for Theo Ratliff and Derek Anderson (Portland). They are attempting to be younger and more physical. We'll see!!!
