This thread is meant to be an on-going update as to where the group stands in its organizing efforts. OK.. I think that is abundantly clear now. So keep it on topic and we won't have 17 pages to scroll thru!

About The Group
The group, at this time, is open to all SoCal residents who own a G35 coupe or sedan, stock or modified. It is a way for us to network with each other and to recognize members that we've spoken to here at the G35Driver community and have met at meets and other events.

This is a REGIONAL group, it is NOT a car club/crew/team. We do NOT compete in car competitions, as a group at least. Individual members may participate in whatever events they choose, but please don't bring a negative perception to our group. You may also be part of a club/crew/team if you wish, that's your choice.

The Group Name
The poll was closed on 8/1 and the name that was selected is: SoCal G's.

Stickers / License Plate Frames
Target price we're looking for is between $15-$20 for the total cost of a plate. The plates will also use metallic decals that can be used without the frame.


Update as of 8/27
1) Chosenwon is the third person to try and get this going in the last 3 years. It always falls apart due to geography, "logos", or personalities. As of 8/8 he is busy and may not have a lot of time for a couple of weeks. he has asked everyone to be patient and wait a bit.

2) G35Lin is putting together a Mega Meet in December. It would be nice to have everything official by then. This Mega Meet is not an official "SoCal G's" meet, but I can see it probably becoming that. Nothing has been organized for SoCal G's, just yet.

3) We do not have a logo, as Chosenwon didn't want any complicated artwork that could not be translated to a license plate frame.

4) ChosenWon is the unofficial leader in this. I do not think you should attempt to work around him to make organization go faster unless you officially want to take on the whole enchilada with Chosen. PM him... since he is busy, he may accept the offer and we can get going.

Remember, do not post in this thread that you want to help (PM ChosenWon) or that you are interested in joining (see link above).. this thread is for official updates only.
