LACR 11/9 Results!!!

I borrowed Kia's Delorean and went today. I thought that it was supposed to be today and by the time I called PaKmaN I had already picked up my friends and was on the freeway.

Ran a best of 14.700 @ 96.094!

I got in 10 runs and left early because my friends were cold and Rusty was getting scared by the louder cars.

Here are all my runs on 11-2-05:

    R/T 60' ET &n bsp; MPH
1. -.116 2.392 15.119 94.190 with one passenger and a dog
2. .286 2.357 14.833 95.892
3. .130 2.364 14.844 95.992
4. .545 2.441 14.963 95.465
5. .044 2.240 14.700 96.094
6. .092 2.277 14.763 95.921
7. .092 2.221 14.731 95.535
8. .490 2.271 14.873 94.841
9. -.011 2.306 14.839 95.675
10. .103 2.227 14.731 95.649

Previous best times with only a z-tube:

     R/T 60' ET &n bsp; MPH
1. .196 2.332 15.191 92.638 (7-14-04)
2. .240 2.350 15.182 92.921 (7-14-04)
3. .338 N/A 15.278 93.113 (8-4-04)
4. .365 2.398 15.223 92.974 (8-4-04)

I also ran a 14.98x and a 15.0x in October '04 but I lost the timeslips.

FYI, Ted, you're only allowed to have one passenger at a time when you're running (we still killed that Civic with three passengers!).

wow really good times, your stock right?

how was the braking after your runs? did you get any vibrations? i think the brembos could have helped

No, I'm not stock. I have a z-tube, MotorDyne Engineering 1/2" plenum spacer and iso thermal kit, resonated test pipes, and an e-Bay special y-pipe.

I went to LACR times with just the z-tube though. I'll look for the timeslips and post my older times.

Kelly Johnson's Skunk Works was actually at Burbank Airport in those big buildings across the runway from the passenger terminal. Home of the U-2 and I think the WWII P-38 Lightning was built there also. Those pictures of the Palmdale area make me realize how much I miss LA and the sun. We've got rain and snow here in the Seattle area

Eldridge, took my Legacy GT (Cobb Accessport Stage 1 flash) back to LACR today (it was an all Subaru event).
The weather was much cooler (50 degrees) and by some MIRACLE we didn't
have the usual LACR front head winds, but rather left rear winds of about 10 mph (mostly hitting the left side of the car, but with a slight tail wind).

So I ran a 13.94 @ 96 mph in the Legacy.
I'm really happy with that.
At a fast track like ATCO Field, that would of been a 13.4 @ 101+ mph easily.

Hope to see you up there another time, but I probably won't run my
LGT or my G35 again since I don't really plan on doing anything more to the
LGT or anything at all to my stock G35.
But I'll come to spectate from time to time and run whenever I get another
car (which will probably be sometime in 2006).
Later,
Michael

Thanks man, you would gotten down to 14.5 yesterday.
Everybody was getting their personal best.

There was a guy with a pretty heavily modded 05 STI there
(car looked stock though...he was even on stock wheels and
Falken street tires) who ran a 12.2 @ 114 mph!!
His prior best at LACR was 12.9

I was pleased with my times, considering stock STI's yesterday were
running around 13.6 @ 100 mph.
Wish I could drive two cars at once, I would of taken the G35 up there
too and seen what she'd of done.
Anyway, it was a good time. Later.

Eldy,
Let's see you do the 14.700 w. Mr. Fusion deactivated.

j.k. That's a rock solid time for the 5AT at LACR. Best I've seen yet. Bravo!

I only got a 14.700 because I ran out of banana peels. Next time I'm bringing plantains. I hear those are good for 0.2 secs and 3 mph.
