Coupe in for Tranny 05 sedan Kill review, and props to dealer

As some of you may know, i had a few issues with my tranny last few months. I went in the first time for grinding 5th gear at Santa Monica Infiniti. 2k Miles later, grinding AGAIN. i take the car back to complain, but I only get mocking, and denial of the grinding noise. After complaining to infiniti consumer affairs, i was told to go to another dealer. I went to Miller Van Nuys. I was expecting some trouble from them considering it was the second time. They immediatley realize the problem and hand me the keys to an 05 sedan. WOW this car rocks. So fast, great pickup. So smooth. I wanted to keep it for a bit. Today I get a call from the dealer, he's kind of happy, saying my new tranny is on its way, car will be ready Friday. WOW. I was shocked. GREAT service. On my way home from the laker game, silly guy in an 04 Mustang GT conv. decides he wants to toy. OK yay. now i thought it would be close, wow did i walk him. from about 40-95, and he was ahead of me, and i just walked right by him. I love this car, my new tranny, and great service. SOrry about the long post, but i love the 05 sedan guys

All loaners are auto bro. I must say I really like the new 05 sedans as well.....I still prefer my 03 cuz of the sports package and my little mods here and there, but the 05 is a definitely more refined car.

the GT seemed liek it was an Auto. i couldnt see anything b/c of dark windows. and it seemed like shifting was very smooth so im assuming it was an auto. sadly the loaner was an auto. i wish it was a 6mt that would be sick.
also about the service, yes the guys are very good. but i wouldnt buy any performance parts from there anyway no matter how much they try to convince me. however if you guys do go there ask for Rick Robinson. he helped me alot and i really appreciate everything he did for.

back to the 05 lol, car is So smooth, and seems like it has alot of control in the twisties. i like

Miller rocks...Whatever troubles I have, they order the parts ahead of time or by the end of the phone call and don't bother checking, they just replace it. They always take your word for it and rarely give you troubles. Go to thier showroom, they have an 06 coupe dropped on eibachs, polished cams, exhaust, rear lip, AEM intake, plenum cover and a few extras...original MSRP is 38K, after all the added crap they are wanting 46K (ya right, goodluck fellars). But the point is they seem as mod friendly as Tustin is.

They gave me an 05 sedan this past monday....that esh feels quicker than my coupe man....and the sound system bumps harder and it isn't even a BOSE...

DUUDDEE...you too?? this sedan feels like it would kill my coupe, even tho i have Ztube and gutted cats *which added a big gain on my butt dyno* but anyways, the non bose seems to bump very hard, and it seems to pull sooo much harder. whats up w/ that?

I spoke with a friend who owns both. He ran both and he said the sedan ONLY feels quicker, but in reality it isn't...I'm still in shock. I mash the pedal and its gone! My G accelerates either too smoothly or is a pork due to weight...don't under estimate the sedans. I used to thing they were inferior to the coupe, but this thing will hang or beat you if your not careful...espec the 6MT 298 sedan....

you know what else may make a difference? the speedometer on the new 05's seem to move faster than the old ones. for some reason i think that maybe the mph's are closer together so the speedo doesnt move as fast? anyone agree w/ this? or am i just insane? it does feel very fast, but hopefully its not quicker than my coupe lol

Sedan and Coupe performace are practically the same (even though this has been said many times on this forum... lol). For some reason though, 350Z owners don't realize this and feel they can walk all over the sedan. Oh well.

Anyhoo, I think Miller Infiniti's service department is good. They are pretty professional but just a bit busy and bureaucratic. I bought my car there and I work in Sherman Oaks, so they are usually my first choice. Santa Monica anything usually means bad service. (ok... maybe that wasn't fair to most santa monica businesses, but car dealerships in Santa Monica are pretty bad. I've gotten much better service from Beverly Hills dealerships and I'm not some rich snobby dude. hmmm... maybe looking and acting like one may help in Santa Monica.)
