Jonathan.. don't do anything until we talk. i can walk you thru this one and show you what you need to do. Ive said it before and I'll say it again:
If you were only going 50 and were cited for 22350, you were still within the CA Basic Speed Law. That's how I got out of my ticket. If you are going over 64, well, that is tough.
It is also important as to whether or not the deputy or officer writes something about the road/weather/pedestrian conditions.
* Take pictures of the area immediately (carrying a camera in your car is always a good idea)
* If possible, go back the same day & time to take pictures of the traffic patterns.
* Print out a weather report from CNN or Weather.com asap
* Wait and reschedule your court appearance once.
ANYONE who gets a ticket for 64 or less on a street in CA should hit me up for more info. This has nothing to do with radar, or posted speed limits. This is the info that a traffic court lawyer will charge $1500 to $3000 to go to court to explain for you.
I don't want to post out on the open, since it is long. I'll bring the specifics to dinner on friday. You can then insert your name and incident specifics in the script.
Cheers, ted
P.S. It's also posted in the old TT Members forum.
