silverado ss vs g35

on the way back from sd...5 north (1030 pm, almost empty)...i was going about 80-90 (05 5AT)..the guy blew by me...we got even around 90 and started and it stayed basically even till 110 then i started pulling...we ran again from a 70 roll and stayed even again till about 95 and i started pulling on him...by the time i stopped i had about 5-6 car lengths on him...dont underestimate those things...theyre pretty damn quick...and kinda scary to see a truck hit 135. It was a good race though.

MY 04 Nissan Titan would beat the Silverado SS. Your G35 should have killed it easy.

+1 with TX, the titan is faster than the SS. I raced my dad in his 04 Titan with Banks Exhaust, JBX headers and Volant CAI. I had about his truck length, we went from around 0-70 then stopped for the light.

on another note, yea the titan's are that quick. with the I/H/E on my dad's titan it has over 400ft/lbs TQ and around 320HP (all at the crank of course)

Overated. The SS is heavier, big heavy wheels, and it also has AWD which kills the performance somewhat.

HP isnt everything.
Chevy SS: 345HP @ 5,200rpm & 380TQ @ 4,000rpm
Titan: 305HP @ 4,800rpm & 379TQ @ 3,600rpm

The titan makes more of its power lower in the rpm range than the chevy letting it get up and go faster, plus like TX said the big wheels and its heavier. Also the SS costs $10,000 more and the titan is a better truck.

^Lightnings are ridiculously fast. I raced one with my stock G and he just pulled on me like nothing. We went from 0-70 and he was like 10 cars ahead of me.
