remote starter alarm

im looking to upgrade the factory alarm with the VIPER 791XV 2way remote starter. does anybody know where i can find a shop near los angeles or near la that sells and install it cheap as a package? i try asking cal tint and their asking 450 w/ installed. is this a good price? if anyone has the alarm or any remote starter alarm, how you like it? any problems? btw this is for an auto and i think a immobilizer is required and i must forfeit one of my spare key due to the chip imbeded inside on our keys. thanx appreciate any helpful info.

i called and one of the guy there quoted me 460 i believe or something near there. i look into recycler and found this guy selling brand new viper 791 xv for 200 and the immobilizer for another 40 bucks. i drop it off at california tint this morning and have them install it for 145 w/ trunk relay( i thought we dont need another one because our factory alarm has one, but the guy there said we do)
all n all i paid 385 total w/ installation, i think i got a good deal cause i went and called alot of places and they want at lease 450, some place even quote me 550 installed.
im very happy with the alarm, the engine start is great. the best part is ill never have to sit in my car and let it warm up lol

installation went quite well. it took them less than 2 hrs to finish the job.
i didnt get the window roll up/down because i didnt thought i needed it and plus i thought the alarm came with the relay but it doesnt. you'll need to buy 2 seperate module to make it work, one to go up and one to go down. thats what they told me. also they wont be able to use the stock window relay( if thats what its called) because they said the alarm wasnt compatible with it.

Where is this place, I might want to check it out. I am a little sceptical because everyone says to overpay for this job. What do you all think? Can anyone who has the window thing explain it a little?

Hey,
A Question:
Can you do the Remote Starter on a Manual Transmission? If yes, would there be problems?

i love my engine start, i love it even more when i dont have to sit in the car and wait for it to warm up on cold mornings lol.
its on rosemead bl. , cross st is mission bl. i believe. their prices are decent and the installer there is great. shop name is called california tint.
btw i didnt get the window up/down so i cant tell u much about it. i think all it does it u can lower your window or raise it through the remote, and it requires 2 module thing for our car( thats from what the installer told me)
